Dixon Design Studio offers expertise in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, and Site Planning. Continuing the legacy of Jerry Dixon, our firm has designed, directed,  and managed numerous projects around St. Augustine, and the beautiful State of Florida since 1971.  

Our design studio collaborates personally with clients to form a clear initial design concept. Strengthened through the refinement of details, our firm remains dedicated and involved throughout each project phase to maintain design excellence within an established budget and schedule.    

Dixon Design Studio is proud to honor the legacy of Gerald "Jerry" Dixon and his successes in architecture.  His attention to detail and ability to listen and respond to his clients needs has resulted in an impressive catalog of quality projects. These projects have ranged from educational, governmental, historic renovations and remodels to high-end single-family residences, commercial/ retail space, multi-family condominiums and mixed use warehouse facilities.  With numerous designs and projects completed throughout the historic city, its hard to traverse a few blocks without passing a site he hasn't touched.  His talents were truly a gift to all of us, and the lasting beauty of our historic city, St. Augustine. 

Nicole "Nico" Stearley,  AIA, LEED BD+C, has an abundance of experience delivering projects with multiple stakeholders ranging from campus master planning, interior and exterior building designs,  to greenways and urban parks planning. She began her architectural career as an intern for Mr. Dixon as a student at St. Augustine High School and he soon became her lifetime mentor. Jerry shared his skills to design thoughtful architecture and was a cornerstone of her budding career.  After receiving a Master's of Architecture degree, she worked for the global architecture firm HOK  where she became a licensed architect and interior designer.  Her qualifications have allowed her to work on international projects across a wide spectrum from the United States and the Caribbean to South East Asia. 

Her passion for architecture was sparked at an early age growing up in the nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida. Her dedication lead to career opportunities that have contributed globally and has allowed her to harbor the importance of each place as she experiences the world through the eyes of an architect.  Her creativity, participation, and enthusiasm is an asset to any great design team. 

Mr. Robert Finnerty had had the opportunity to work along side Jerry for decades.  Throughout those years, he focused on all stages of project delivery including architectural design development, code research, construction documentation, and construction administration. Robert’s project experience ranges from historic renovations to new construction of numerous public and private projects throughout Florida. His design expertise  include hotels, financial institutions, parks, recreation, educational facilities, and residential planning.

Robert's lengthy career along side Mr. Dixon allowed him to become his "right hand man" for many years before his passing in 2019.   Jerry's influence taught him to capture the design essence of St. Augustine and transfer it from the construction drawings and onto the streets of our historic city. He continues to value and implement all he's learned over the years into many successful projects. Robert was a natural choice to carry on the legacy of the firm for many more decades to come.
